This service has strategic responsibility for all assets owned and used by Torbay Council, especially property. It seeks to work actively with other services to ensure that all assets are identified, fit-for-purpose, in good condition, used efficiently, held at lowest cost and, where applicable, that they provide a good return on investment.
Asset Management Plan
The Asset Management Plan (AMP) describes Torbay Council’s policies for developing its land and property assets in order to sustain and improve service delivery, and demonstrates how capital investment is directed in support of the delivery of its Corporate priorities.
Working in partnership
The asset management team within Torbay Development Agency work with Torbay Care Trust, Devon & Cornwall Police and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service to ensure joint strategic planning and shared mapping of assets embracing 'the Total Place' agenda.
